This was just too funny!
I have today off, yea! Rita doesn't...but that's ok--for me, anyway!--because my home office looks like a paper-studded bomb went off. Really! Worse than usual.
Later on this month, we'll be heading off to Carmel (this site won an award?!), stopping at ShadowBrook (I hope they didn't pay someone to design their site!) for dinner, to celebrate our anniversary.
Fourth semester spanish is quite demanding! I know, "well, duh!" But it is taking a lot of time and effort: There's a whole lot more content in each page of our book. For example, present tense of verbs, regular and irregular: 2 pages. As opposed to several chapters. At this level, they are focusing on vocabulary, usage, fluency. It's all good clean fun, though!
If I didn't have a life, I could dedicate a blog to all the errors, stupidities, and biases in our local paper. Hey, it makes a living for that blogger that does it for the New York Times, but I'm guessing a whole lot less people give a...care about the "Murky" News. And a lot of them are brilliant logicians who can't find any difference between Katherine Harris saying "vote for our side, or things that our side defines as bad will happen" (If you don't care about "sin", who cares that you're voting for people who will legislate it?) and people who fly planes of people into buildings. But at least maybe somebody would read it...
Anyway, all this is delaying the inevitable, so I'm off to clean my office. (But hey, at least I've already cleaned the shower this morning--I love the smell of clorox in the morning). And, as soon as iTunes 7 gets done, I have to restart my computer to install the latest windows security patches, because windows update keeps bugging me to do so. ("Can I restart now?" "Can I restart now?" "Are we there yet?"...) Speaking of iTunes, the iTunes store seems to have lost its free download of the week! But I didn't see anything in google about it, so maybe it is just temporary...
- "A Salinas man was allegedly attempting to run from California Highway Patrol officers last week when his baggy pants fell down around his ankles, sending him tumbling to the ground."
