Tonight on CSI! Ripped straight from the headlines! Religious fanatics target liberal judges! So said the teaser for tonight's episode. Um, ripped from exactly whose headlines? I thought Dan Rather retired. Oops, wrong network. But still...
Looking at the synopsis on the Nothing But Crap website (no, I'm not going to dignify it with a link), it appears to be some slurry of the murder of Joan Lefcow's family (which was not because she was liberal, but because she enforced the law) and the beltway snipers, who of course shot random people. (Ok, they were in DC, there were probably more liberals there, but that wasn't their intent).
You can say that it isn't their news organization, but it is one of their most popular shows, and the season finale. And they wonder why "people think we have a liberal agenda"... The scary thing is that I know some people who watch shows like this--or "Left Wing" (the one with the real fictitious president)--and think that somehow it mirrors reality. Of course, those same people think that PBS is unbiased, so I guess that in itself says a lot.
