Aaargh! You never think that it will happen to you...
Someone stole all of our mail one day last week. Yes, including the Peet's delivery. And the PennySaver, and all the rest of the junk mail. Everything. I mean, how sad is that? Our neighbor across the street also had his mail stolen, and another neighbor had all the riffled envelopes from another neighborhood stuffed into his mailbox. So we spent the day putting credit locks on everything, checking to see what might have come, and generally worrying. Fortunately, some important bills and reasonably-sized checks either had already come, or the people sending the checks hadn't sent them yet (I guess in this case it is good that some organizations aren't in any great rush to give you your money back...) So we're hoping we're ok, but only time will tell us so, and fraud may grow, for all we know.
