Working on the Christmas letter. I might even get it done before Christmas. And then, I might even send it. Two firsts, in one year! We'll see...
So don't let anyone tell you that there's no biodiversity any more...christmas tree

We usually cut our own Christmas tree up off of Mountain Charlie road, but we didn't this year, for various reasons (cold, job, stress, grown kids w/jobs, etc). Instead, we went to our friendly Home Depot, and got a precut Douglas Fir for a really reasonable price.

We set it up last night, and I nearly died...or at least, I wanted to! My sinuses just went nuts and I was awake much of the night with massive sinus pressure and drainage. Clearly, even though the trees we usually cut are Douglas Firs, my system is used to them, because they grow around here. But the ones from Oregon seem to be different, and my sinuses are still not happy. (pain, misery, pressure...oh, woe!)

So we found a family at church who couldn't afford a tree, and we gave them ours. Then we went out and bought a plastic tree at OSH. It looks pretty good, and hey, it was 25% off!
