The DoorsWhen we moved in to our place, the doors were all very dark, and kind of beat up. We're putting new doors in, one or two at a time. It takes a lot of coats of primer, paint, and topcoat for each door! One thing I learned: Paint takes space, so make sure there is enough clearance around the door for all that paint... our you can "measure once, cut twice"! I think they look pretty cool, though! |

Who has time to do all this blog stuff? As you can see, I don't very often...but every once in a while, I get the urge. Usually when I'm ticked off about something. I guess that makes this the curmudgeon press. :-)
I've been hacking and coughing all week, fortunately "only" the cold, not the flu. I think I got it from our multimedia guy at church, although I told him I wasn't sure that it was him, because I didn't want him to feel too bad...

So Berkeley Breathed has a new comic strip, Opus. At least, they say it is new. I say, the man hasn't had an original idea in years. It's run now for 3 weeks in our paper. I missed one, maybe it was brilliant...but the other two were about Opus dreaming about cavorting with a woman or women.
I wrote to our paper, suggesting that this was not exactly new, since that was the same thing he did in "Outland" and "Bloom County", and even 2 out of 3 weeks in the "new" strip. His response was that everyone else has loved it...Go figure.
I guess since last week's had Condoleezza Rice in it, that makes it "Incisive. Political. Commentary." Except that "Boondocks" has been riffing on Rice for what, a year? (Or does it just seem that long)? Like I said, original this stuff is not...
